IMP (Interpretation Management Platform), operated by Frederick Interpreting Agency, respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our marketing website at interpretationmanagement.com. Use of the IMP application itself is governed by the separate agreement between IMP and your agency.
We collect two kinds of information:
Interpreters can choose to connect their Google Calendar to IMP so that IMP can warn them when an assignment offer overlaps something already on their calendar.
When an interpreter connects Google Calendar, IMP requests only the "View your availability in your calendars" permission. Through this permission IMP receives the start and end times of busy periods on the interpreter's primary calendar. IMP does not receive, store, or display event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations, or any other event content.
IMP stores these busy periods for a rolling window of about sixty days in order to show conflict warnings to the interpreter. The interpreter's own agency can see only that the interpreter is busy during a given time; agencies never see event titles or any other calendar content. Busy periods are refreshed about every thirty minutes and replaced on each refresh. IMP stores the credential Google provides so it can refresh this information; the credential is never shared and is deleted when the interpreter disconnects.
Google Calendar data is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and never shared with any third party. Interpreters can disconnect at any time from My Profile, which deletes the stored credential and all stored busy periods, or from their Google Account permissions page.
IMP's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use the information to respond to your inquiries, schedule and conduct demos, operate and improve the website, and communicate with you about IMP. We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site — for example, form processing, hosting, and analytics — and only as needed for them to perform those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
The site may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality and to understand how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work as intended if you do.
We keep inquiry and demo-request information only as long as needed to respond to you and for legitimate business purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Accounts on the Interpretation Management Platform are created and managed by the interpreting agency you work with or book through. You cannot create an account yourself, and your agency controls access to it.
To have your account and associated personal data deleted, contact your agency administrator, or email support@interpretationmanagement.com from the address associated with your account. Include your name and the name of your agency. Requests are actioned within 30 days.
On request we delete your profile information (name, email address, phone number, mailing address), your availability records, your notification and device tokens, and your login credentials. Once deleted, you can no longer sign in.
Records of completed interpreting assignments, invoices, and payment history are retained by your agency as business and tax records, as required by law. These are held by the agency as the data controller, typically for seven years, and are retained in a form that identifies the assignment rather than your account. If you need these records removed, that request must be directed to your agency, which decides in line with its own legal obligations.
Push notification tokens are removed as soon as you sign out, uninstall the app, or turn off notifications, and are deleted automatically when they expire.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted through the site by contacting us through our contact page. If you have an account on the IMP platform or mobile app, see section 8.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
