All of IMP

Overflow coverage

When a live video or phone call rings past the delay you set, the IMP Interpreter Network is offered it too. Your team still gets it first, and the first to accept takes it.

An example call. Your delay here is 15 seconds.

Your team keeps the call too

Your interpreters are offered each call right away. If nobody has answered by your delay, the IMP Interpreter Network is offered it as well, and whoever accepts first takes it.

  • Live video and phone calls only. Scheduled jobs go out through your own broadcasting.
  • AI Translator calls don't use overflow.
  • Turn it on or off whenever you like.
15 seconds

Your team has 15 seconds on its own. After that, the network is offered the call too.

Any delay from 5 to 120 seconds. The default is 15.

Who covers what

If a call's language or type isn't covered, it simply stays with your team.

What each person sees

Overflow stays in the background. The call looks the same to everyone on it.

Your agency

The call in IMP, and overflow minutes as their own line on your bill.

The three pictures above are examples.

Billed by the minute, only when it's used

An overflow call bills its minutes on top of your usual per-minute call charge. The overflow rate depends on the language and is locked when the call comes in. We'll go over rates in the demo.

Example: a 20-minute Spanish video call covered by the network bills 20 call minutes and 20 overflow minutes.

Overflow questions

Something else? Bring it to the demo.

Do my own interpreters still get the call?

Yes. They're offered it right away and can still take it after your delay. Whoever accepts first takes it.

Which calls can go to overflow?

Live video and phone calls. Scheduled jobs go out through your own broadcasting, and AI Translator calls don't use overflow.

Which languages are covered?

ASL on video, and Spanish and French on video and phone. Other spoken languages can be added in writing when interpreters are available.

Can I change the delay?

Yes. Anywhere from 5 to 120 seconds. The default is 15.

Does the caller know?

No. The caller isn't told the call went to overflow, and the interpreter isn't told which agency it came from.

How is it billed?

Per minute, on top of your usual per-minute call charge. The overflow rate depends on the language and is locked when the call comes in. We'll go over rates in the demo.

What if the network isn't taking calls?

Your overflow settings show a warning, and calls stay with your own team.

How do I turn it on?

In Settings, under Call Rates. You set it on or off and choose the delay.

We'll book it in IMP with you, start to finish.
