Interpreter pay: rates and pay periods

Set each interpreter's rates on their profile, then your pay periods and payday. Statements are built per period, and emailing them is off until you turn it on.

What the video says

How IMP knows what you owe each interpreter, and when.

  1. Pay starts on each interpreter's profile: their hourly rate, a daily rate if you pay by the day, and the minimum hours you pay for.
  2. If you pay differently for video, phone, or a client's own platform, set those rates too. Leave one empty and their hourly rate applies.
  3. Then you set your pay periods: weekly, every two weeks, twice a month, or monthly. Weekly and biweekly need a start date to anchor the cycle.
  4. You also set how many days after a period ends you pay, which is what fixes each payday.
  5. Save it. Until you do, the preview on this page shows what you typed while the rest of IMP still uses what was saved, or calendar months if nothing was.
  6. Two more choices here. Whether IMP builds a statement for each interpreter each period, and whether those statements are emailed when you send them.
  7. Emailing is off until you turn it on, so nobody gets mailed by surprise while you are still setting this up.
  8. Paying extra for one hard job? Change the pay on that job alone. Their profile rate stays the same.

Next, the pay periods themselves.
